The UK Government wants to understand crowd behaviour in order to reduce the risk of terrorism in crowded places. They have selected Detica (a BAE Systems company) to run a technology demonstrator event before the end of the year. They are looking for systems that can measure, model and predict crowds. These might come from academia or from companies active in the public safety, security, design, construction, retail or even computer gaming sectors.
